Shopify Theme Localization

Requirements

Make sure that the language file exists in the Locales directory of your theme. If you need help with this Shopify has documentation here.

Creating a New Project

Login to your TranslateCI dashboard and then click on New Project on the top right.

Select your Git provider from the dropdown. In this case we’ll use GitLab

Type in your theme repository - this is where your theme exists**.** For example tsketchbooks/shopify-theme

Then add the Branch and Project type ( Shopify Theme ).

Make sure to select the correct source language this is the default language of your theme , (Most likely “English”) and destination language or languages, this should be the languages you want to offer . Then click on “Get my quote”.

**Note: **It may take a few minutes to get a quote but once it’s done you’ll be notified via email.

Click on Review Quote once its done.

Before you click on Start translation job, it helps a lot to provide context by clicking “Add notes for your translators”. A few screenshots of the theme itself, admin section, and description can be the difference between good and great translation.

****Once everything’s set click on Start translation job.
