Shopify App Listing Basics

TranslateCI can translate your Shopify app listing and monitor it for updates. This means that you can translate your app listing into any language that Shopify supports and we'll provide human or AI translation and keep it up to date.

Requirements

Shopify doesn't offer an API for accessing your app listing, so we need to be able to access your app listing directly. This means that you'll need to make sure that your app listing is public.

Setup

All we need is the URL slug for your app listing. You can find this by going to your app listing in the Shopify App Store and copying the URL from your browser's address bar.

For instance, if you're app listing is at https://apps.shopify.com/translate-ci, then your URL slug is translate-ci.

Create a new app listing project in TranslateCI and paste your URL slug into the App URL field. Then select the languages that you want to translate your app listing into and click Save.

Review Your Quote

TranslateCI will analyze your app listing and create a quote. When you're ready, click Start translation job to begin translating your application. At that point, you will be asked to enter your credit card information. We use Paddle to manage payments and subscriptions.

You'll be given the option to use professional human translators or the latest GPT AI translations.

Next Steps

Once your app listing is translated, you'll receive an email letting you know it's ready. You can then log into TranslateCI and copy your translated app listing fields into your Shopify app listing.
